Victory
September 29, 2012

We learned that the Day of Atonement commemorates the exile of Satan and the defeat of evil. In war, it is the conquering nation that obliges the defeated nation to live by its rules, and for this final battle with Satan, the same will apply because victory belongs to Jesus and those who are saved with him. As part of victory over the evil that is in earth, a new country will be established on earth, the Kingdom of God. It is this Kingdom that will unite this lonely planet in peace. The prophet Zechariah writes of this future time near the end of his written prophecy.

Zechariah 14:16-21
And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD'S house shall be like the bowls before the altar. Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.

The remnant of those who fought against Jerusalem will be part of this new Kingdom, will come to worship the King, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. The nations of today will become the extended families of this new Kingdom, and may very well function like states and provinces within the greater Kingdom. Those who choose to obey God will be blessed with abudance, and those who do not obey including those who do not keep the Feast of Tabernacles will not be blessed. Zechariah concluded his written prophecy with the Feast of Tabernacles, the final Holy Day celebration that commemorates the establishment of the Kingdom of God through victory over Satan and all that is evil. Sadly, there are many Christians who believe that their Lord has delayed his coming because they do not believe that the Kingdom of God will actually be established on earth, when the Bible shows otherwise. It is for this and other beliefs that virtually all who identify as Christians do not keep the Feast of Tabernacles, and yet the verses from Zechariah show that this will warrant punishment from God in the form of drought. Immediately before this time will be a final conflict, when those who struggle against Jerusalem will fight and lose, and this is shown in the final book of the Bible.

Revelation 17:14
These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

And this verse also shows that those who will be standing with Jesus during this conflict are those who are called, those who are chosen, and those who are faithful. And it is with these standing with Jesus that victory will come evil will be defeated, and Satan will go in exile. When evil is defeated and Satan is exiled, peace, love, and abundance will flourish for those who obey God. As we read more of the Bible, we being to understand why it is important for God to have obedience and why he has a Feast of Tabernacles.

Revelation 21:3
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

The Feast of Tabernacles is a celebration of the future victory when God will live with people. The world will be at peace and love and prosperity will abound.

All verses are from the King James Version.
