Feast of Tabernacles - Day Two - The Righteousness of Government
October 1, 2023

Celebrating the Feast of Tabernacles, we celebrate the Kingdom of God, a time of righteous government led by God our Father and Jesus Christ for the people. Even though many countries today are led by governments that are ostensibly of, by, and for the people it often does not seem that way upon closer examination. When digging deeper on governments of today it seems like politicians get richer and the people do not. Instead of serving the interests of the people they have been elected to serve, many politicians seem to be serving their own self-interest without regard to the people. Having spent a career supporting and advocating for people with disabilities, I’ve come to see that this self-interest extends beyond party lines with some politicians seeming to be most interested in a photo opportunity with the people they serve instead of being most interested in representing the people they were elected to serve.

When there is selfishness in government, the people suffer, because since the beginning of the Bible, leaders looked after the affairs of the people they served. When directing the children of Israel became too much for Moses to singularly handle, God had him appoint captains to help him meet the needs of the people. Later during the period of the judges, that office was designed to administer justice to all, especially the poor and needy. Yet today, when those in power ignore the people, the people can suffer and feel frustrated because there is no solution to their problems.

The Kingdom of God will have a much different government because the government will uphold God’s standards and be a government of righteousness. As a government of righteousness, the government will be focused on doing what is right for the people according to the laws of God and to give all the opportunity for eternal life as the government then will have for itself. No more will the government seek to enrich itself. Those with positions of authority will not use their position for personal gain and enrichment. Instead the government will be very much like what God expected from the kings of the Israelites, that they use their position for the good of the people and not for personal gain, and that they remain loyal and close to God by reading the word of God, never abandoning the teachings of the Bible.

Deuteronomy 17:14-20
When thou art come unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt possess it, and shalt dwell therein, and shalt say, I will set a king over me, like as all the nations that are about me; Thou shalt in any wise set him king over thee, whom the LORD thy God shall choose: one from among thy brethren shalt thou set king over thee: thou mayest not set a stranger over thee, which is not thy brother. But he shall not multiply horses to himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt, to the end that he should multiply horses: forasmuch as the LORD hath said unto you, Ye shall henceforth return no more that way. Neither shall he multiply wives to himself, that his heart turn not away: neither shall he greatly multiply to himself silver and gold. And it shall be, when he sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write him a copy of this law in a book out of that which is before the priests the Levites: And it shall be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his life: that he may learn to fear the LORD his God, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them: That his heart be not lifted up above his brethren, and that he turn not aside from the commandment, to the right hand, or to the left: to the end that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he, and his children, in the midst of Israel.

Later on in the history of Israel, David, a man after God’s own heart, would prove to be one of those Kings. God assured Samuel that David from the very beginning would be defended by God from his enemies while giving Israel a more settled posture among nations. Unlike Saul who seemed to act like he forgot it was God who had anointed him to be King, David would not have the throne ripped from him, and David’s throne would be established forever. With Jesus Christ as a descendent of David and our knowledge that Jesus Christ will eternally reign as King of kings and Lord of lords, it is easy for us to see that God kept that promise.

2 Samuel 7:8-16
Now therefore so shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people, over Israel: And I was with thee whithersoever thou wentest, and have cut off all thine enemies out of thy sight, and have made thee a great name, like unto the name of the great men that are in the earth. Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them anymore, as beforetime, And as since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel, and have caused thee to rest from all thine enemies. Also the LORD telleth thee that he will make thee an house. And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom forever. I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men: But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee. And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established forever.

Righteousness was always intended to be part of judgment among the children of Israel, and what was equated to unrighteousness? Showing partiality to a person in judgment was unrighteousness. Poor people were not to be given preferential treatment in judgment, nor were the mighty. People were to be given judgment as equals before God. Gossip was unrighteousness. Gossip clouds judgment as it slants perspective, even if the matter being repeated is true. Purposely taking a stand against a person to their harm was unrighteousness, as was arguing with your neighbor, or hating a brother. There also was to be no form of vengeance or grudge holding, but rather to love neighbors as the self.

Leviticus 19:15-18
Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour. Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour: I am the LORD. Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him. Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.

In the Kingdom of God, the righteousness of government will extend to the lowest forms of judgment, including judgments made among neighbors. There will be no favoritism given to people, and because these standards will be upheld, neighbors will love neighbors as themselves, and the pettiness that can grate on people today will be no more in the Kingdom of God.

Instead of being self-serving, the righteousness of government of the Kingdom of God will reflect the righteousness of God. No more will some governments merely state that they trust God. This future government will reflect the righteousness of God, almost like a mirror reflects a person’s image. In this government it will be God and Jesus Christ in charge, and those alive during this time that are described as fat, very well off, will not only have enough food to eat, they will also worship God. While Psalm twenty-two prophetically describes Jesus, it also gives us a glimpse of the Kingdom of God.

Psalm 22:23-31
Ye that fear the LORD, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel. For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard. My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him. The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live forever. All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee. For the kingdom is the LORD'S: and he is the governor among the nations. All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul. A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation. They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.

Daniel recorded night visions where in one of these he saw one like the Son of man coming with the clouds of heaven going before the Ancient of Days. What Daniel saw was the ascension of Jesus to heaven to return to God our Father. Daniel shows that the resurrected Jesus was given an eternal dominion, glory, and a kingdom that all people, nations, and languages should serve him. Daniel’s vision establishes a basic framework for the Kingdom of God.

Daniel 7:13-14
I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

Revelation describes the throne of God surrounded by beasts, elders, and angels. If the number given is to be taken literally, more than one hundred million are surrounding the throne, and all are praising Jesus Christ who was slain to receive power, riches, wisdom, strength, honor, glory, and blessing. Even the animals on earth are praising Jesus Christ who will rule as King of kings and Lord of lords.

Revelation 5:11-14
And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.

When Jesus returns to undo the evil on earth encouraged by Satan, Jesus will return as King of kings and Lord of lords, and will come to fight the nations who have been deceived into believing the evil ways of Satan is the status quo. Jesus will return with a sharp sword as the Word of God, and for the first time some will begin to understand they have been deceived as the truth of God hits them hard. Those who are stubborn who cling to the deception will be faced with the fierceness of the wrath of God. In everything that Jesus does, whether it is in ruling the people of God or making war to all opposed to God, Jesus as Faithful and True, as the leader of government, will act in righteousness.

Revelation 19:11-16
And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

Isaiah gives us a vision of Jesus Christ, Who when He was born as a baby, was born with the intent to rule the government. There will be no end to the increase and peace of His government as He sits upon the throne of David, as government is established with judgment and justice.

Isaiah 9:6-7
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Isaiah also described how in the last days the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains and be exalted above the hills so that all nations will come to it. Isaiah is describing the Kingdom of God, and other nations will come to the Kingdom of God because of the righteousness from which it is based. All will have the opportunity to learn of God’s ways and to follow God’s ways. The righteous of government of the Kingdom of God will allow everyone to experience righteousness for themselves as peace replaces war as nation after nation turns from the evil deception of Satan to the truth of God.

Isaiah 2:1-5
The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore. O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.

Because Jesus reigns as King of kings and Lord of lords at the right hand of God, Jesus reigns with righteousness. In the Kingdom of God when the poor are judged, Jesus will use righteousness to judge the poor. When Jesus seeks to make things right for those who are meek, Jesus will also use righteousness. When it is time to slay the wicked and smite the evilness of the earth resulting from the deception of Satan, Jesus will also do this with righteousness. Righteousness will encompass Jesus in all that He does.

The righteousness of the government will not only be evident in the leaders and be made available to the people, but even the animals will change because of the presence of righteousness. No longer will there be predators and prey as all animals will live together in peace, and because of righteousness all animals will be safe for even the youngest child.

The righteousness of government during the Kingdom of God will have all return home who were scattered abroad because of the sins of Israel. Those who have been opposed to Israel and Judah will no more be opposed as the remnant of Israel and Judah overpowers their foes. During this future time the mighty Nile will be reduced to seven streams, so small that men will be able to cross it without getting their feet wet, and those who were taken by Assyria will be able to rapidly return to the promised land, all because of righteousness.

Isaiah 11:1-16
And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins. The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious. And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim. But they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west; they shall spoil them of the east together: they shall lay their hand upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them. And the LORD shall utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his mighty wind shall he shake his hand over the river, and shall smite it in the seven streams, and make men go over dryshod. And there shall be an highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria; like as it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.

Isaiah further described the government as being led by a king who will reign in righteousness with princes ruling in judgment. Because of righteousness no longer will government turn a blind eye to evil allowing any tolerance of unrighteousness. All who want to be part of the righteousness, will have their opportunity before them. In the Kingdom of God, disability will not prevent a person from accessing righteousness. Those who choose to be unrighteous will not be able to masquerade as righteous. During the Kingdom of God, because a king reigns in righteousness and princes rule in judgment, what is righteousness will be evident to all, and all who want to be righteous can live a life of righteousness.

Isaiah 32:1-8
Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment. And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land. And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken. The heart also of the rash shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly. The vile person shall be no more called liberal, nor the churl said to be bountiful. For the vile person will speak villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against the LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail. The instruments also of the churl are evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right. But the liberal deviseth liberal things; and by liberal things shall he stand.

Because of the righteousness of government of the Kingdom of God, even the land will rejoice. No more will deserts be barren, but will blossom as a rose. No more will deserts be without trees, but will be like forests. Today society worries about climate change, and Isaiah shows through righteousness there will be a positive climate change. Because of righteousness, no more will people who fear God be afraid, and no more will disability keep a person from righteousness. And the land of righteousness will be a place of holiness and peace. The Kingdom of God will be a land for those who are righteous, who seek God, who seek holiness.

Isaiah 35:1-10
The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose. It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of our God. Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you. Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes. And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there: And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

Jesus will rule in righteousness as King of kings and Lord of lords. Through Jesus all in the Kingdom of God will live in righteousness. There will be no exception to those who can live in righteousness, except for those who reject righteousness.

Isaiah 42:1-9
Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street. A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth. He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law. Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein: I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.

The righteousness of government of the Kingdom of God reflects the ultimate sacrifice given by Jesus in giving His life for the sins of mankind, and that righteousness will present to outsiders with more than just words. These other kings will have no response for the righteousness they see in the Kingdom of God, and even if they don’t fully understand the words spoken to them, they will be able to understand that righteousness is what drives the government of the Kingdom of God.

Isaiah 52:13-15
Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high. As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men: So shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider.

During the Kingdom of God, the throne will be established with Jerusalem as the capital, and all nations will come to Jerusalem pursuing the righteousness they see in the Kingdom of God and abandoning the evil resulting from the deception of Satan. Even the scattered tribes of Israel will return from the land of the north.

Jeremiah 3:12-18
Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the LORD; and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you: for I am merciful, saith the LORD, and I will not keep anger forever. Only acknowledge thine iniquity, that thou hast transgressed against the LORD thy God, and hast scattered thy ways to the strangers under every green tree, and ye have not obeyed my voice, saith the LORD. Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion: And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. And it shall come to pass, when ye be multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith the LORD, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the LORD: neither shall it come to mind: neither shall they remember it; neither shall they visit it; neither shall that be done any more. At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart. In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers.

At this future time, with Jesus reigning as King of kings and Lord of lords, Jesus will be the Lord Our Righteousness, and it will be the Lord Our Righteousness who returns the scattered tribes from the north country to the land God promised Abraham.

Jeremiah 23:5-8
Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that they shall no more say, The LORD liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt; But, The LORD liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.

Zechariah also writes that the scattered tribes of Israel will return from the east and west country, and will be led by God, which would be through Jesus Christ, in truth and righteousness.

Zechariah 8:3-8
Thus saith the LORD; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts the holy mountain. Thus saith the LORD of hosts; There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff in his hand for very age. And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof. Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If it be marvellous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these days, should it also be marvellous in mine eyes? saith the LORD of hosts. Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country; And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.

Through the Kingdom of God a promise will be fulfilled that neither the scepter nor lawgiver will not depart from Judah until Shiloh comes, the establishment of the Kingdom of God, when the children of Israel will once again be gathered together again.

Genesis 49:8-10
Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father's children shall bow down before thee. Judah is a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up? The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

In the Kingdom of God through righteousness of government embodied in Jesus Christ, enemies will be made powerless as righteousness and holiness overpower them. Jesus Christ through righteousness will remove any government of man that does not seek to follow righteousness.

Psalm 110:1-7
The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth. The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek. The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath. He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries. He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.

Jesus, Whom the prophet Micah prophesied would be born at Bethlehem, was foretold to be the ruler of Israel from the beginning of time, that at a time in the future when the Kingdom of God is established in righteousness, the remnant of the brethren will return to the children of Israel.

Micah 5:2-4
But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel. And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.

From the very beginning, God and Jesus Christ existed in righteousness, and Their desire is for all people to live in righteousness as well. During the Kingdom of God righteousness will abound in everything that is done, and righteousness will be seen in what is done. Through righteousness, all people who reject unrighteousness will have access to the Kingdom of God. In the righteousness of the government of the Kingdom of God all will have this access. There will be no special access given to a person because a bribe has been paid. Those who follow righteousness will be seen as righteous no matter who that person may be. And all who follow unrighteousness will be seen as unrighteous not matter who that person may be. The Kingdom of God will be a kingdom with a government led by Jesus Christ sitting at the right hand of God, and in that kingdom through Jesus Christ, there will be a government of righteousness.
